Product guide
Dolphin e10 fine filter
Double-check before purchasing
- Filter mesh dimensions may vary slightly between production batches — always verify 'E10' compatibility on the product listing
Compatibility
The Dolphin E10 fine filter is the standard cartridge filter basket for the E10 above-ground pool robot. It catches leaves, large debris, and medium-sized particles during each cleaning cycle.
How to Verify Fit
- Basket should clip into the E10 top-load panel with a firm click — no lateral movement when installed
- Fine-mesh screen should be intact with no holes or stretched areas
- Basket frame should not be cracked or warped — a cracked frame allows debris to bypass the filter
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Confusing the fine filter with the ultra-fine filter — fine mesh has larger openings and is better suited for pools with mostly leaf debris rather than fine sand or algae
- Letting debris dry in the basket before rinsing — sun-dried debris is much harder to remove
- Over-flexing the basket while cleaning, which can warp the plastic frame
When to Replace
Clean after every 1–2 cycles. Replace when mesh tears appear or the basket no longer latches flat. Typical lifespan is one full swimming season with regular cleaning.
Buying Tips
The fine filter is Dolphin's standard-included filter type. OEM replacements are widely available. If your pool has fine sand or algae issues, consider switching to the ultra-fine variant.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the fine filter and ultra-fine filter for the E10?
The fine filter has a coarser mesh suited for leaves and large debris. The ultra-fine filter has smaller openings to trap algae, fine sand, and smaller particles — but needs cleaning more often.
How often should I clean the E10 fine filter?
After every 1–2 cleaning cycles. Leaving a clogged filter in place reduces suction and cleaning performance.
Is the fine filter the same as the filter basket?
Yes — 'fine filter' and 'filter basket' are used interchangeably for the E10. They both refer to the removable mesh cartridge in the top-load panel.
